R&D 212

Maybe it was just that we finally had a nice warm day here in northern michigan, and maybe not, but I was thinking about being outside today in fact I was out side when I jotted down a few notes for our next projects. And in keeping with the out door theme, I have chosen an pose that was taken outside and created by Bill.

I really liked the tension and strength in this pose. Thanks bill.

Okay for this bit of Research and Development we are going to do a couple of memory drawings.

You can do them in what ever medium you would like, I suspect I will chose pencil.

Anyway. Here is how it will go. Please do this one as closely as you can to these directions, if you are one that draws directly from your computer monitor, make the necessary adjustments...

1) print out this pose

2) study the pose for two minutes.

3) put the photo aside or cover it so as to hide it from your view.

4) take as long as you want to draw FROM MEMORY this pose.

5) when you feel you have gone as far as you can, and only then, look at the photo again.

6) set your drawimg aside and get a fresh sheet of paper.

7) now study the pose for five minutes more.

8) without looking at the photo or your first drawing make another drawing of this pose.

9) post both of your drawings to the R&D212 folder, be sure to number the drawings so we know which was done first.

LETS DRAW!!!
