Well, it has been a little while since the last life project was posted last, what a response to it! I thought I would stay on a similar mode of thought with the new one!
The object of this project is to create a finished and polished piece of art that is based out of your own life. The subject should be of someone you know in person (non internet) or yourself, done in any media or mixed media and any style you wish. You can you photo references of said peoples btw. The only catch is that you must follow the theme set forth.
What theme do you ask? Since spring is right around the corner (here in the northern hemisphere) I want you all to think and use the concept of “renewal and/or cycles of life” as your starting point/theme of your art. Be expressive, be experimental, have fun. Now I don’t necessarily want you to make an illustration, the final art work does not need to be blunt, knock you over the head when it comes to the theme. It can be personal and an inside story if you wish. Find poses that convey your thoughts, add backgrounds/or objects to help out, pay attention to the edges of the canvas or paper, and think about the process.
If it helps you to think out your ideas, do thumbnail sketches in your sketch book, and work on details and layouts there before you start your final piece.
