Yes, it is the middle of the night for me...
It is the only time I had alright....
(hold on honey! I will be right there.... no I am not talking to anyone down here.)
Anyhow, I only have second so I will make it fast..
We are going to do yet another self-portrait. This one will be a little different. Where as usually we want to go for a little more realism here, for lack of a better term. But this time we are going to do a caricature of ourselves.
You have all seen the artists with the markers and airbrushes at the carnival and the mall. The work they do rarely looks like the person.... But I think we can learn from this excerise. Don't be afraid to overdo the little details that make you you... Maybe you have big hair or a bent nose... Play with this one and have fun. If you push it here you may learn to see what is important in making a likeness... And then when you do it for real next time you can push it then bring it back in far enough so that it doesn't look silly... But we want these to look a bit silly.
Who knows you may end up finding you have a new career waiting for you at the summer fest this year.
This one is due March 22nd (2004).
