Ok here is where we will play with some color and a familiar theme, the self portrait.
No groaning, it will be fun, this time I am going back to early classes I took, this drawing/painting is going to be done in either warm colors (reds, yellows, and oranges) or cool colors (blues, greens, purples) for the primary colors of the work. I will allow some warmer yellow-greens and some red-violets for the warm side and cool sides as accents, highlights, and low lights.
The only other thing I want you to do is place something else into the composition, something that is juxtapose (things to be placed side by side to compare or contrast) to yourself, to give the drawing greater meaning. Make sure that the composition remains strong and interesting.
Now this is a tall order, but it should be fun and interesting to see what happens with this great group!
