Fabrication 034

Happy Holidays.
well it is snowing like mad here in the midwest... and as the mounds of white
pile up i am
being inendated by contours. lovely contours... and massive lumps where bushes
once
were... everything has changed and it has happened so quickly. i have not gotten
it
together enough to go out and paint from this new landscape yet, (i have started
plien air
painting) but i suspect i will.

For Fab034 i have choosen a pose by Arminda. i might ad it is quite a wonderful
pose and
it in many ways reminds me of the piles of newly fallen snow i see out my studio
windows.

i would like for you to do a painting of this pose. as you do the drawing pay
strict
attention to the contours in and around her clavicals... and then down around
and across
her abdomen and then notice how her legs are layered as they go back to her
foot. as you
make note of all of these contours in your drawing, notice how they represent
plane that
either comes towards us or goes away.

paint this pose so that the parts of the pose that are nearest to us will be the
lightest and
the parts that are furthest away will be the darkest.
this poses is lit with a very universal light so it works well for this type of
project. you can
use what ever colors you want on this painting, but when you consider the value
of the
paint, make the close stuff light and the far stuff dark.

Any questions? Let's Draw!!!
