Happy November 4th!!!
I won't burden you, but if you only knew.... hehehehe, no really, don't worry. bah! let's just say some adjustments are hard for me to make OK?
Well, this week has come and gone and here i sit with wife on the phone wondering when I will be home.... wow, life keeps on marching along.... so, I am trying not to panic as I have been planning the last 3 days to get FAB029 posted.... here I sit...alas, i have it...
Ror some reason I have been thinking about color a lot lately.... and while this may seem to be an assignment more appropriate for R&D, I think that there is the potential for some great things to happen on this one...
I want you to think of your favorite impressionist, I will not mention any names so that I will not influence how you approach this one.... what I am hoping for here is some major exploration and discovery. the impressionists were really breaking some new ground, and were not really all that accepted when they started up all of their colorful shinanigans. The thing is, and as I like to imagine it was like.... I think suddenly there were many new doors thrown open by some of the pioneers of the movement.... that gave way to letting artists enjoy a freedom they otherwise may have never dared.... it must have been so liberating...
Free yourself... get all your colors out... even the ones you have not used in a long time... and play.... lets use some color on this one... I am not saying don't make it realistic.... be my guest... but use color.... again, maybe it is me, and all the thinking I have been doing about color, but when I looked at the pose for this one I saw lots and lots of color.
Oh yes, the pose... this pose is one that was provided by our good ol' mate Ronnie.. it is a particularly dramatic pose... that in and of itself my bring to mind some color scheme. Thank you ronnie for this one... it's a keeper.
So what have we got? we have a pose... we have a quest... do a painting, use all the colors you can see.... (hey, if I can see colors in this, you guys must really see a bunch) you can work in oils or acrylics, pastels, or water color... even colored pencil if you want. The thing is to really observe and then go at it... and be not afraid...
This project is due on November 18th... now, LETS DRAW!!!
