Hi all:
It has been a while since we have done a Fabrication... I hope everyone is having a good summer... and just in case it is going to well, here is my wish for a rainy day so that you can stay inside and do some art... lol we know how hard it is sometimes to be inside when it is so nice outside.
So this is going to be a straight forward assignment. You can do it in whatever medium you would like. The only thing I ask is that you take the opportunity to do little edge reconstruction... let me explain; the pose we are going to be working from is provided to us by Arminda.... I personally think her poses and photos are delightful, they make me smile... well, enough about me. While this photo is indeed dramatic, but in the process of being as dramatic as it is we seem to have lost some details... Particularly on the bottom edges of her legs, as well as the out edge of her right breast... it is also really difficult to see what is happening along her left side...
I do not want you to avoid making this as dark and dramatic as the photo... I fact implore you to... make it more so if you wish by adding whatever colors that will do that for you. But as for the dark shadows, I don't want them to be dead flat spaces of darkness. I want to see some hint of the contours that are in those dark areas.
Now, Arminda, thanks so much for this photo. it is really wonderful. thanks for all your poses by the way, but as this is the first one we have used as an assignment, I wanted to be sure you understood the appreciation that goes out to you as a model..
(all of the models in this group are appreciated... you know that don't you?) (you should) (because you are)
Let's make this one due on July 17th.
Now let's DRAW!!!
