Fabrication 016

As part of our site's facelift, I tasked myself to write a bit about what the group is all about. As will probably not come as much of a surprise the 'theme' of this paragraph turned out to surround the idea of the 'innocence' of the (unclothed) human body.

So, this is what I'm thinking for the fabrication. I invite the group's artists to draw a figure-based image denoting INNOCENCE. I realize that my thoughts and ideas of innocence may differ from yours. But, I hope to see, in image form, what you see in your mind when you think of innocence in figure- based art. If it's helpful to try to get additional thoughts about it, the paragraph I wrote can be accessed directly at http://figuredrawingfactory.info/About.html.

To throw in a different twist, I'm not going to select any model reference photo for you. This project is "wide open". In other words, please select your own reference photo, based on the (INNOCENCE) theme and draw from that reference however you wish. As this is a group project, please limit the selection of drawing reference material to the group's models. If you'd like a particular pose that you cannot find, feel free to request it. Hopefully if you go so far as to request a specific pose of a specific model, the model will also be inspired to provide it.

Oh, and I forgot on the last one - but I made due date for this 31 August 2004.

Ben.
