Fabrication 014

G'day there!

Why let things rest? There are so many good things happening here, I thought it best to capitalize on the momentum.

This next Figure Fabrication will feature none other than our newest redhead, Meghann. There have been a few of Meghann's poses that have already been drawn by some of the group, but I don't believe that this one has been yet.

For this project, we will be working in color, choose whatever medium that you would like to use.

I want you to think about the placement of the figure on the page. I think too often we feel like we need to have the whole figure on the page... we have seen some examples of interesting cropping lately..

So when you work this one out I want the figure to touch at least three of the sides of your composition. I don't think that you should necessarily draw to the edge of your paper, unless you are working on a stretched canvas.

I might suggest that you draw a rectangle on your page and use that as your border.

Remember color is the deal and fill the space with the figure.... and if you can find a way to have the figure touch all four sides and still have it look good, you get bonus points!!!

Thanks again to Meghann for the wonderful pose, and for all the other ones for that matter.

Meghann, I hope you get you scanner hooked up and or your diggie cam problems worked out. It would be interesting to see how you would handle a painting of yourself.

The deadline for this project will be July 1st (2004).

LET'S DRAW!!!! and paint....

...royce
