We usually try to stay on top of this, but life being what it is we (myself maybe more than most) all fall behind now and then.
Along with the better late than never mindset, the recent influx of new members has inspired me to get our Figure Fabrication 007 up and running. (for some reason i always chuckle when i see 007 as a numeric representation... It of course brings to mind all sorts of James Bondian gadgets and shenanigans.) Well, there is going to be nothing secret agent-like about this project... at least not one that comes to mind.
Our model for this one is clarissa. I have a particularly soft spot in my heart for Clarissa as she has posed for several of my paintings prior to her joining the group. The poses that you all have seen that she has posted have shown her creativity as a model.
This pose is maybe not all that it appears to be as you look on it at first glance. It appears completely symetrical. and it is pretty close...
Anyway, we want to do a finshed drawing or painting of clarissa. This one will be very symetrical and you can use the near perfect symetry to get this pose started. But to make it real... To make it alive, to make it human notice the subtle differences between the left and the right side...
Have fun with this one.... Feel free to use as much or as little color as you like... But spend enough time with this pose that you notice what needs to be noticed... And long enough that you can say that your drawing or painting is as finished as it can be...
