Well well well!
As the end of Figure Fabrication #001 (FF001) comes to a close we are first off very pleased to see the art work that has been submitted. and secondly, it gives ME great pleasure to introduce FF002!
This Fabrication only has one stipulation. and that is that it must be a high contrast drawing or painting. you may use what ever technique you want. i might suggest if you use pencils that you get out your Ebony pencil or your 6B.
It is often a difficult thing to get ourselves to push the darks as far as we should, or can. this may be difficult, but force yourself to go for it and push the darks to the max.
since this may take a couple of attempts we are going to assign a two week deadline to this project. It will be due on May 9th (2003).
Again we are so pleased with the activity we have seen here in the last two weeks. let's make it continue.
As you models may have guessed, if we add a couple more activities to draw from, we will be burning through the poses faster than if we only have one every two weeks. so, if you haven't posted any poses yet, now is the time, and if you have some poses up, you might think about making some new ones. you might not think it is important, but it is on a couple of fronts, one is that, often a pose is what will suggest to us what direction the specs for the Fabrication will be. and secondly, it is wonderful to have such a resource of good solid poses for the artist members to draw from.
I should mention that if any of you artists want to give modeling a shot, don't be afraid, and vise-versa, any model that feels like drawing is more than welcome to submit.
now, LET'S DRAW!!!
